Buying a house is more of a challenge now than ever before, especially if you’re selling your home yourself. The single biggest factor in the home buying process is location. I know, big shock, right? Of course you have to consider proximity to a job, but there’s more to it than that. You have to consider expenses, crime rates, and the general atmosphere of your neighborhood. One of the best places for all of this is Jackson, Wyoming.
With 563,000 residents, Wyoming has the second lowest population density in the country. For those that don’t like being crowded, this is a huge advantage. That and the lack of corporate or personal income tax has made Wyoming one of Bloomberg’s best places to do business for seven years running. There are clear financial advantages to living and working here. Still not convinced?
Let’s look at Jackson specifically. Their population in 2011 was 9,710. That’s not so small that everyone in town knows each other and excludes any outsiders, but not so big that everyone’s little more than a faceless drone. It’s a happy medium that would make Goldilocks incredibly happy. Then there’s the crime rate to consider. Jackson has a rate of 150, which is pretty good considering the national average is 306.
So, Jackson seems like a good fit for most people, but something that really makes it stand out is Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. At 6,311 feet, Jackson Hole has one of the lowest base elevations of any Rocky Mountain ski resort. This is perfect for the casual skier. All of this makes a pretty good case for investigating Jackson hole real estate for sale. Buying a luxury home here is definitely the most well rounded option you’re going to find. Even if you want scaled back real estate Jackson Hole will give you the best value for your money, which you really need to consider when selling your home yourself.
Not only is Jackson a great place to live, but it’s perfect for doing business. A comfortable population density, low crime rate, viable real estate, and no income tax all work together to make the perfect place for you to relocate. Happy hunting!
I moved here from San Fransisco about a year ago. Great town, and the skiing is fantastic. Definitely recommend it to anyone.
Ski resorts and luxury homes are a bit out of my price range, but I’m looking here for a few years down the road.
